The rate at which the snow has been disappearing is quite remarkable. Impassable roads yesterday morning are now perfectly driveable. This does mean the melting ice, coupled with the overnight rain, have left quite a bit of water to drain away. This picture shows the icy puddle just down by the Ballidon turning:

This however has to be seen to be believed. Tissington Ford reached 3 feet and caused the sign showing the depth to swivel round. No problem for Andy’s Defender however. Watch and wonder at this piece of video:
