Thank you to Hugh for letting us know about a new novel with Parwich connections:
I thought you might be interested to know that my son, Jasper has just published his first novel.
I am of course biased, but it is brilliant. It is a thinking person’s thriller, and a great page turner. It is set in Venezuela, where he spent many months of research, and it contains wonderful descriptions of that country and its people. Its main character, Harry Christmas, is a thoroughly disreputable, highly intelligent, impossible but irresistible, hopeless case. The book is the story of his flight to Venezuela pursued by the homicidal maniac son of a woman he has cheated on.
Michael Palin read it and wrote “Very funny very unpleasant yet very touching at the same time”.
It is called “A Bright Moon for Fools” and is available from Amazon, and is in Waterstone’s branches across the UK among other bookstores. It is published as an ebook and in hardback, by the Inside the Dog Press ISBN 978-0-9574681-0-8.
Jasper Gibson is a writer, humourist and Creative Director of the satirical website, The Poke.
