At first I thought it was a Wotbird – however I now wonder if it might be a Nuthatch?
Could it be a Stone Chat. Never seen one in Parwich before though.
Hurray, I think I have found what we are supposed to be looking for…!
I agree that the Stonechat seems the more likely bird fitting the colour combination. What about a Redstart (wearing a dog collar!)?
Now where did I leave my bottle of Red Grouse?
I must admit I could not even see where the bird was, but having now seen the answer I at least know where it is:

Oh – I clearly wasn’t looking at the right ‘splotch’, having dismissed the correct splotch as some dead leaves ….
Are you sure there isn’t a browny-reddish bird with dark head, possibly with a white-ish streak, sitting on a branch towards the right of the picture? Oh well, back to looking for that bottle of Red Grouse – still not found it.
