The Blog Team wish Janet and Rosie all the best in their new endeavours and their new home. It was nearly sixteen years ago that Janet took on the tenancy of the Sycamore Inn, and as well as all the hard work in maintaining a genuine local pub, she took on the shop, welcomed local groups and societies, for many years she was booking secretary for the Memorial Hall, provided a local collection point for prescriptions and directed countless delivery drivers, and much more.
Also there was the unseen support given to many, from phone calls to lifts, to such as looking after the man with presenile dementia who had lost his walking group until the Police could trace his carers. A local pub and shop are often 
the first place people go for information or help.
Also a big thank you to Steve for the many years he did a full day’s work farming, then greeted customers from behind the bar with a smile and friendly chat.
