Beautiful photograph, David.
PS: The leaves of the ash trees in David’s picture look very much as they should be: healthy!
However, yesterday afternoon I went to have a look at a young ash tree near Parsley Hay that has all the tell-tale signs of the Ash-dieback disease. I had been told where to find it so I could see it for myself. It was inevitable that this disease would reach the Peak District, and its abundance of ash trees, sooner than later, but it still comes as a bit of a shock to see that it is actually ‘here’.
