We have received this from Andrew Martin, the Parish Council Clerk –
The Parish Council is grateful for work recently done by the Bowls Club to repair and refurbish the toilets at Parson’s Croft.
In recent times the toilets have been opened only for Bowls matches and on a limited number of special occasions. The Bowls club have serviced them for this level of use on a voluntary basis.
The Parish Council would like to gauge the level of interest in having them open on a more regular basis. In order to do this volunteers and/or money would be needed to have them locked and unlocked and serviced more frequently.
The willingness of the Parish Council to contribute public money for this may be influenced by the level of support for regular opening.
Note that the toilets would remain closed during the winter anyway as there is no heating and the water has to be drained to prevent damage from freezing.
Feedback on any of the following points would be most helpful.
* Would you be interested in seeing the toilets open on a more regular basis?
* Are there any times when you would find this particularly useful?
* Would you be able to provide voluntary support for more regular opening?
* Would you be able to provide financial support for more regular opening?
* Any other comments?
Responses from individuals or organisations would be very welcome. You can either leave comments on the blog or e-mail the Clerk on clerk@parwichparishcouncil.org.uk. clerk@parwichparishcouncil.org.uk
Any comments received will be considered at a future meeting.

I like the idea of getting a key and unlocking the loos and cleaning them yourself if you are hosting a specific event and want them available (like the bowls club). It seems sensible to have them open during Wakes or Open Gardens. If available, I’d help clean the loos as a volunteer. Is there a locked cleaning cupboard in the loos where people could access what they need?
