However, we have heard from several suppliers today that a lack of product at a number of terminals is pushing kerosene prices even higher in the UK. If you do not need to order fuel, you may wish to wait until oil prices and supply issues stabilise.

Brent Crude prices hold at around $74 a barrel this week. Many suppliers are advising they are now fully booked up to the 24th for standard deliveries. We are once again getting reports of driver issues with drivers having to self-isolate. This weekends orders will be delivered after the 29th and most likely early January 2022 if on a 10 working day delivery timeline.

Drivers are required to inspect at least 3 sides of a tank, and may not be able to successfully complete a delivery if this is not possible or their access is obscured.

Oil prices rebounded this week after a fatal fire on a major Mexican state-owned platform in the Gulf, which reduced oil production by more than 400,000 barrel per day. Brent Crude is back up to $72 a barrel.

Update for Bradbourne & Parwich Heating Oil Club

Oil prices fell further on Friday for the seventh day in a row, the longest run of daily declines since 2019, amid growing concerns about global oil demand and an indication from the Fed it would ease its stimulus program. Brent crude down to $65 a barrel today.

TIP: Don’t get caught out in the cold this winter – please double check your tank is in good condition and your gauge is working correctly so you know you are going into the winter months with a healthy, safe tank.
It is worth doing a visual check of your tank now ahead of the upcoming cold months to ensure there are no sags, cracks or bulges in the tank, that the base of the tank is sturdy and adequate for the tank size and weight, and that the delivery drivers are able to see at least 3 sides of the tank when they do their visual inspections, to avoid any possible refused deliveries.

Update for Bradbourne & Parwich Heating Oil Club

The OPEC+ decision last week to add additional Crude supply to the market every month starting in August and the resurgence of Covid-19 in some parts of the world led to a brief drop in the oil price last week. However, with demand holding up, Brent Crude once again passed $76 a barrel this week.

TIP: Upgrade your oil to Premium oil – It is a good idea to upgrade your fuel to Premium fuel with a bottle of Exocet Additive. Exocet Additives lower carbon emissions, stabilise fuel, clean injectors, inhibit sludge formation in your tank, and improve overall fuel performance and efficiency.

Update for Bradbourne & Parwich Heating Oil Club

OPEC+ have reached a deal this week to increase supply to the market from August onwards in a bid to cool off oil prices which had reached 2 1/2 year highs. This has removed some uncertainty from the market and subsequently caused Brent Crude prices to dip this week just over $73 a barrel, however Goldman Sachs have voiced their expectations that Brent Crude could reach $80 a barrel later this summer.

TIP: Remove unwanted water from your tank – Over time condensation causes water to build up at the bottom of your tank (especially after warmer weather), and if stirred up into the oil when new fuel is added the water can be sucked through your fuel line into your system and cause issues.
To combat this, we recommend using water scavengers every 3 months or so to absorb and remove any water sat in your tank. You can find a range Water Scavengers and the Water Test Kit in our Club Store in the members area.

Oil prices remain at a 3-year high with Brent crude maintaining $75+ a barrel as markets believe oil demand will return to pre pandemic levels by the end of the year.

TIP: Remove condensation from your tank – With the recent warmer weather heating up oil tanks, there may be more condensation in your tank than usual. Over time water builds up at the bottom of a tank through condensation.
To prevent this causing issues we recommend using a Water Scavenger which will absorb any water in your tank. It is simple to use, just fix the cord to the tank and drop in the Scavenger. Or if you would like to test for water first, you can purchase a Water Test Kit. For more information please visit The Club Store.
