Update for Bradbourne & Parwich Heating Oil Club

DELIVERY NOTES and Covid-19: Please note, there are a few factors currently effecting delivery timelines across the board, including shortage of oil supply due to extremely high demand, and the looming shortage of staff for suppliers due to Covid-19 risks and quarantining. If you are likely to run out in the next 6 weeks this order may not be suitable due to these potential issues.

Estimated delivery times are now up to 3+ weeks from the order close date. If you are low on oil, this order will not be suitable. Delivery times are estimated and subject to supply, weather conditions and the effect of Covid-19 on the delivery chain, so please order early. For peace of mind, we always recommend ordering when you have around six weeks supply left in cold conditions. However, if you do not need to order, we would recommend holding back as rates are higher than they should be due to the demand and current shortage of stock.
Please also be aware, the Easter Bank Holiday at the start of April will also increase demand for oil and timelines.

Due to Covid-19 some suppliers are no longer leaving delivery dockets at the time of delivery, they will be posting after delivery them instead.

Update for Bradbourne & Parwich Heating Oil Club

After dropping over the last few weeks, Brent Crude has bounced back up to around $58 a barrel today as evidence has indicated that OPEC is cutting production by more than was originally forecast in the wake of the Covid-19 virus outbreak.

As China locks down cities in the wake of the SARS Coronavirus, the markets expect a large drop in Chinas demand for oil, with Brent Crude falling to a new low hovering around $57 a barrel today – its lowest since August last year. Oil Price Drops

FBF25C80-2C22-4991-8A46-7C20D86EC212
Update for Bradbourne & Parwich Heating Oil Club

The oil markets are obsessed with Chinas demand for oil, and now fear that demand will drop in the coming weeks as China starts to lock down cities in the wake of the SARS Coronavirus has pushed Brent Crude to a new low this year hovering around $61 a barrel today.

Estimated delivery times are up to 10 working days. If you are low on oil, this order will not be suitable. Delivery times are estimated and subject to supply and weather conditions, so please order early. For peace of mind, we always recommend ordering when you have around six weeks supply in cold conditions.

We recommend using water scavengers every so often to absorb and remove any water sat in your tank. You can find a range Water Scavengers and the Water Test Kit in our Club Store.

Update for Bradbourne & Parwich Heating Oil Club

As you may have already heard, tensions in the Middle East have once again escalated pushing crude oil to $70 a barrel. Our concern is, with the peak months for heating oil demand ahead, how Iran will react and what will happen with the oil prices?

Delivery times are estimated and subject to supply and weather conditions, so please order early. For peace of mind, we would always recommend ordering when you have around six plus weeks supply in cold conditions.

TIP: Please check the condition of your tank. Many suppliers require their drivers to inspect the tank for cracks and sags prior to adding oil to a tank, and they may not deliver if the driver finds a problem or is unable to carry out a full inspection. Therefore, please ensure the driver has unrestricted access to your tank. If in doubt, please ask your boiler engineer to inspect the tank as soon as you can.

Oil Deliveries

My oil delivery due on or before 4th December was from Potteries Fuels via the Oil Club. It still hasn’t arrived. The staff at the Oil Club have been trying to contact Potteries Fuels on my behalf without success however they have finally told the Oil Club that they will be delivering tomorrow 10th December. To avoid Potteries Fuels (or another poor service provider) in the future, you can email the Oil Club prior to placing an order to find out who the supplier will be – and then avoid at all costs!

Oil Price Going Up?

imageUpdate for Bradbourne & Parwich Heating Oil Club

Oil prices up this this week with Brent Crude passing $63 a barrel on news that OPEC may extend output cut to June 2020. Estimated delivery times are between 7 to 10 working days*.

However with Christmas a month away, if you require heating oil before Christmas, I would recommend ordering this weekend. A) to be sure you have oil before Christmas and B) to avoid a surge in prices as demand on suppliers increases noticeably the weeks leading up to Christmas.

Also please check your tank levels to be sure. Emergency deliveries during December can be expensive so I would recommend a visual check on your oil level!

TIP: Overtime water can build up in your tank due to condensation. To prevent unwanted water taking up space in your tank and causing issues we recommend using a Water Scavenger, which will absorb contaminated water. It is simple to use, just fix the cord to the tank and drop in the scavenger, it will absorb up any water and you can then dispose of it. Or if you would like to test for water, you can purchase a Water Test Kit. Please visit The Club Store for more information.
