History society AGM

We will be discussing our programme of events for the year ahead and are very keen to hear your ideas and suggestions. The history walks have been popular so we are thinking about more of those, and there’s another archaeological investigation we are hoping to share more about, plus we’ve had a suggestion for a local visit.

Please come along and let us know what you think. ALL WELCOME!

Poppy Appeal – Thank You

On behalf of the Parwich Royal British Legion Committee we would like to thank the village for all their support and generosity during the Poppy Appeal last year.

A fantastic £1842.44 was raised. The Sycamore, the school and the Legion were very proactive in seeking donations.

Many thanks, once again, must also go to Karen Wigley, Liz Edge and Tim Ryder for their hard work in co-ordinating the appeal and collecting door to door in the village.

After inspection the ground is firmer than expected so the village bonfire and fireworks will be happening tonight. However, please no vehicles to be taken onto Parsons Croft. Unfortunately there will be no chip van but hot drinks, including our luxury hot chocolate will be available in the pavilion, all proceeds of which are used for Village events.

See you all at 7pm. Any questions let me know – lucywigley@googlemail.com, Parwich Carnival and Recreation Committee.
