You will have heard of Bath and maybe even Buxton, well welcome to the now famous White Peak spa village of Parwich:
Despite the rain, this evening saw great racing in the junior categories and in the main race with 63 competitors. A big thank you to all who ensured every thing went so smoothly. Results and photos of the ‘Parwich Panoramic Five’ fell race to follow.

I am overwhelmed by the selflessness of all who devoted time and energy to this event. Many were involved and they all played their part, but a special mention from me to the people who organised this. Don Higgins, who was the best runner in his time of all of us, and Paul D who between them devised a course which, to a man and lady was heralded as a well thought out, well signed and well marshalled course. All the runners were so complementary of the route and the signing, and that was all down to Don and Paul.
We had a team of totally focussed marshalls and first responders. They were brilliant. Thank you all.
All the takings from tonight (including the raffle – thanks Sandra) will go toward our new Memorial Hall, and in five years time when we are rivalling the Dovedale Dash with 1200 participants, we hopefully will make a constistent and substantial contribution to Village Hall coffers.
Well done and thanks to all who made trhis such a special event despite our great British summer!
fantastic event everyone – these things take tremendous energy and organization — and we greatly enjoyed the runners coping with the mud and splash — lets hope there’s another one in the pipeline
Many thanks Parwich. A tremendous course, perfectly marshalled and signed. Really appreciate the effort that went into it. Regular fixture then?
Could we bottle this ‘Parwich Water’ and sell it for Memorial Hall Funds? ‘Sparkling Sheep Dip’?
