A Big Thank You!

Much to our amazement and delight, Nia and Ed have decided to donate the proceeds from this year’s Panoramic 5 to the blog. We have a numbers of costs annually covering things like web hosting, storage, domain mapping (don’t ask), add free site and more. These costs have in the last few years been covered by generous donations from the PDHS, Parwich Welfare Fund, individual village resident donations and the team themselves. With Covid knocking out the PDHS open gardens the blog’s coffers were in danger of running dry so it is with great joy we received this incredibly generous donation! We now have sufficient funds for several years and even the possibility of upgrading some of our hosting services.

The team would like to thank Nia and Ed and also all the volunteers who helped with the event and the competitors on the night who collectively have made this donation possible.

Thank you all!

A very happy and emotionally overwhelmed Blog Team 🙂

Nia would like to thank all those volunteers who helped on the night, without whom the event would not be possible.

The proceeds from this years event have been donated to the upkeep of the parwich.org

village blog and web site.

Sadly, but understandably, the organisers of the Parwich Panoramic Five have made the decision to cancel the PP5 for this year. It would have been on Tuesday 4 August but with the current Covid situation they felt it inappropriate to be inviting 100+ people in to the village unnecessarily.

Big thank you to all those who helped set up the event, all the race marshals, time keepers, and race control. Over £350 was raised for the Memorial Hall.

We had 80 runners in the main race – thank you to all the runners for coming to join us. No records were broken but the rain kept away.

Many thanks

Ed

A selection of the photos sent to us by Mike H

Big congratulations to Jacob Buckley and Bertie Linnell for doing so well and finishing in the top 10. Over 100 runners in total. Big thank you to all those who helped with the childrens race and PP5. Many comments made about how lovely all the marshals were.
New course record was set of 31.46 mins for a 5.3 mile course. See results for adults and juniors below.

In addition to those listed, congratulations to Alex Ediker and Jacob Buckley for their outstanding performances.

Thank you to all those who, once again, gave up their time to help orchestrate the event. Thanks also, of course, to the runners from far and wide who came to Parwich to take part. We had a total of 119 adult runners which was tremendous. We look forward to welcoming you again next year.
