Not sure where we got to with all this, but does anyone else need to order oil?
Unfortunately as it turned out none of the Blog Team made the full meeting, but we will gather reports and contact Karen Carpenter to ensure feedback here on the Blog.
Hi Debbie
If you’re already ordering some we could do with another 500 litres – please call on 203.
To be honest, I was kind of disappointed with the meeting, wasn’t sure how it did any more then we were already doing.
I’m going to ring all the oil companies today and find out:
#what is the minimum order to get a discount
#what discount will each company give us – if it is a percent, then it won’t matter how much oil prices are at the time of order
I shall report back later today or tomorrow, depending on how easy it is to get through to people.

Good luck Debbie! For Halso (who we normally use) the minimum order for a discount is usually 1000 litres. Thus, we either wait until the tank is about to be empty (always a bit worrying) or join in with someone who’s already ordering once we know we have room for 500 l.
Hi Emma,
Have sent a longer report to the Blog Team to start a new thread – hopefully more people will see it that way. Still calling around at the moment.
