Much easier than hens: they put themselves to bed. Mind you, I have yet to find some eggs in return for the birdfood that Rita and I put out for them….
And as one of my young daughters told us many years ago when revealing a bit more about her first boyfriend’s family – “… his dad goes shooting peasants …”, oops.
