Recycling roadshow tours the Derbyshire Dales
The roadshow is the latest element of an awareness campaign that includes an introductory leaflet that is being posted this week to all 33,000 homes in the Dales and online information at http://www.derbyshiredales.gov.uk/including a list of Frequently Asked Questions and a YouTube video guide.
Available soon will be an online postcode search facility, and detailed instructions and a collection calendar will be delivered with the new containers by the District Council’s new contractor Serco Ltd early in October.
The information roadshow was launched in Bakewell this Monday (24 September) and the mobile unit moves into Wirksworth on Tuesday, Matlock Sainsbury’s on Wednesday and Ashbourne Market Place on Thursday from 9.30am to 3pm each day.
Next week the roadshow visits Brailsford on Monday (Rose & Crown) from 9.30am to 12 noon and then Hulland Ward village shop from 1pm to 3.30pm.
On Tuesday (2 October) it’s on to Bonsall lorry park from 9.30am to 11am, Cromford Market Place 12 noon to 1.30pm and Matlock Bath Station car park 2.30pm to 4pm.
On Wednesday the venue is Matlock Hurst Farm Community Centre from 9.30am to 11am, Tansley Gate Inn from 12 noon to 1.30pm and Darley Dale Whitworth Centre car park from 2.30pm to 4pm.

We have an amazing eclectic mixture of stalls here ,Charcuterie, fungi, fromages,patisserie ,herbs & spices from the far flung corners of the earth ,exotic silks waft gently in the breeze, sensual fragrances pervade the air .We have jugglers ,escapologists, snakecharmers ,fortune tellers ,Punch & Judy, fire-eaters , The Derbyshire clogless morris -men who won the No-Bells peace prize recently, music by the Rubstick & Gastric Brass Band, aphrodisiacs,elixers,panaceas,snake oils, magic carpets,Genies in bottles, potions and spells. Ah! here is your host Lord Scotpress,over to you Sir, ‘Thank you ,it’s great to be back in Denbighshire, it’s free parking here folksI I’ve had six slices already. the atmosphere is terrific but we must focus on the exorcism of this clarification about waste ,what goes in what ?,why ? where & when?. I went recycling last weekend,up the high peak trail,across and down the monsall trail to Bakewell, and back home,I have done this ride five times now,so is this a type of recycling Graham?
Roberto – I like this kind of recycling. I will happily recycle with you, and if we get a third we will have a tri-recycle (- is that right?).
BTW how far is that exactly – sounds like a good 30 miler?
