Not happy with your broadband speeds now the Parwich exchange is fibre optic enabled, then read this important information from Parwich Parish Council. Those in Alsop may be especially interested!
Broadband in Parwich
Digital Derbyshire would like residents to know that a fibre enabled cabinet is now operational in Parwich. For those who can still not get better than a 2Mbps connection the links in the letter will take you to further information on applying for a subsidy to get a satellite or wireless based internet connection.

Don’t forget W3Z has been offering all of Parwich and Alsop Superfast 20Mb/s for the last 4 years and the great thing about us is you save £18.50 a month as you don’t need a BT landline and we can offer you very low cost telephone calls using your current BT number over our network with Vonage national call charges all included. Vonage Extensions App also allows you to make and receive mobile phone calls over Wi-Fi when you have no mobile phone service/signal which do not debit your mobile phone account.

PS We are just about to enable Rivendale Park and Biggin as well.
Ian,
Alas, last time your men were here ( 2 years ago) the only transmitter was around Bradbourne which was not within LOS to us. Perhaps this has now changed with other transmitters? If so, we are still interested!
Ian,
Presumably people, whose Broadband through their phone line is slow enough to entitle them for a grant, could use that grant for a w3z service?
