It’s looking promising for clear(ish) skies on Christmas Eve for a bit of Santa spotting but if not, there’s a very good chance of seeing him going back home at 4.31pm on Christmas Day in the south west.

Also the good folk of the White Peak might catch a glimpse of him today as he pays Parwich British Legion a flying visit between 1 and 2.30pm.

The Legion’s weekly open the safe competition was brought to a swift end on Friday during draw number 5 (of a possible 30) when Paul Cooper successfully selected the winning key and won £348.50 – many Congratulations to Paul!!!
Since the event has been so popular it will return as a weekly draw in the New Year. However, from now until the 24th December the Legion will be running an ‘Open the Safe Christmas Special’, culminating in a single ‘winner takes all’ draw on Christmas eve. Full details to follow soon…..

Thank you to everyone who attended and supported the BBQ on October 25th that was organised by Paul and Lucy in memory and celebration of Carol Cooper.
A fantastic £804.50 was raised, all of which is going to Macmillan Cancer Support.
