Take a careful look at these two photos. Although they may look identical at first, there are in fact ten differences between the top photo and the bottom photo.
How many can you spot? We particularly welcome answers in the comments box from our younger readers.
HINT: Try clicking each photo to enlarge it. Each photo will then open in a new window. This might make the differences a little easier to spot!

Is there a telepgraph pole missing?
:o)
There is indeed. One down, nine to go…
Do I qualify as young because I can’t resist this? So just one more for the time being – no small window in the church steeple.
Well observed! That leaves eight more differences to spot…
The blue pipe is missing in the right hand corner of the picture.
The number plate is missing off the back of the car.
Well spotted! That leaves six more…
There are 2 trees missing in the background, some of the road marking at the junction are missing and there is somthing black missing on the wall into Chris’s yard
There are only 2 broken white lines on the bottom picture and 3 on the top. There’s also a tall tree missing from the right hand side of the church steeple.
Barbara and Cheryl have both guessed correctly. By my calculations, that leaves just two more differences to spot…
The roof of the house is missing from the left hand side, just under the big tree.
That’s correct, Cheryl. Just one more to go, and it’s probably the most difficult to spot.
Not too young I hope. The hose on the end of the wall is missing. John F-S.
This is true enough, but I think that Barbara’s “something black missing on the wall into Chris’s yard” has already covered this one – the “something black” being the hose in question, you see. So we are still hunting down that elusive final difference.
lorry missing in yard
Bingo! That’s all ten differences spotted in just under 24 hours. What an observant bunch of readers we have!
We seem to have a lot of people who cannot remember their birthdays, or they just young at heart.
Mike G
Or is this just something that no longer has appeal for the current younger generation? Anyone with a young birth date care to comment?
