The Legion is looking for part time bar staff.
We particularly need someone who can work Saturdays, either every week or as part of a rota system and who could potentially provide occasional cover for other nights (e.g. when existing staff are away).

After only 4 weeks, with odds of only of 1 in 27 of selecting the correct key, the safe was successfully opened last night.

Parwich RBL Poppy Appeal 2015

We have started to sell poppies door to door within the village in preparation for Remembrance Sunday on 8th November.
If it happens that you are not in when we call, poppies will be available from the following locations:
- Parwich Royal British Legion
- The Sycamore – Shop
Unfortunately we are struggling to find someone to collect for the poppy appeal door to door in Alsop and that area, so if anyone would like to volunteer to do this for us it would be greatly appreciated.

Harvest Festival – Thank You!

UPDATE: – due to a couple of additional donations, the amount has increased to £402.50.
The Legion would like to say many, many thanks to everyone who was involved with, and who supported, yesterday’s harvest festival.
Lots of people generously gave up their time, donated produce and spent their money!!! As a result we managed to raise £390.50 for the Welfare Fund!

Last night saw the finale of ‘Open the Safe’ – with someone being guaranteed to win the £2,047 jackpot!
With seven keys remaining, seven tickets were drawn – one for each remaining key, as follows:
1. Kelly Hicton
2. Paul and Evie
3. Alison Buckley
4. Becky Dale
5. Sam Edge
6. Richard Jewett
7. Joe from the Bentley Brook
The keys were selected in the order that the tickets were drawn. Kelly’s key was unsuccessful, but big congratulations go to Paul and Evie, as Rachel selected them the winning key!!!!!!

Open the Safe has raised £311 for the Poppy Appeal! The Legion would like to thank everyone who participated and all those that have supported the event. Open the Safe will return later in the year.
