Many thanks to all those who attended the quiz last night, it was an excellent turnout. In all the excitement I forgot to give the answers to the local knowledge round. Here are the questions and if you click on the “continue reading” button you can see the answers.

Christmas Day commemoration football match

In commemoration of the first World War football match between the Allies and Germany on Christmas Day 1914 the legion is organising a short 30 minute match to take place on the football pitch at 11.00am on Christmas Day. Everyone welcome – if you are interested in playing tell Carl at the legion or email richiemaddog@googlemail.com. The legion opens at 11.30am.
