The Fancy Dress parade starts at Parwich Primary School ending at the Green, accompanied by Burbage Brass Band

The categories are:

♦️ Pedestrian 1-4 yrs, 5–7 yrs, 8–10 yrs, 11–15 yrs, Adult
♦️Pedestrian Groups: Under 10 yrs, 10-15 yrs, Adults (Pedestrian groups are two or more people, the age of the group is determined by the oldest member)
♦️Pedestrian with Animals: All ages

Pedestrian Prizes 1st £5, 2nd £3, 3rd £2

♦️Vehicles and Floats:
Laycock Trophy for the best float 1st £12.00, 2nd £6.00, 3rd £4.00

We have space left for a couple more stallholders for our Wakes Village Market, next Saturday 28th June, 10am to 2pm on the Green, Parwich.

We already have a great range of stalls including cakes, chutneys and preserves, local photography cards and prints, clothing and gifts etc – if you would like to come and join our fabulous stallholders then please contact me, you’ll be most welcome.

Parwich Wakes 2022

With less than 3 weeks to go here are the weekend plans…. Alder Carr Farm will be doing a hog roast on the Saturday on the Green, an ice cream van is booked for the Carnival and the Fair and all its fab trimmings will be there all weekend. Plus our very own Chris Houlihan will be back doing a live set on the Green. Full programme will be out this week..

Carl W and Liz E have put together an exciting car treasure hunt which goes around the surrounding villages. The treasure hunt is on behalf of the Carnival and Recreation Committee so any funds will be used for our events.

The Treasure Hunt will take place on Saturday 21st May, starting from 3pm at the Legion. Final papers will need to be submitted back to the Legion by 6pm. £5 entry per car. BBQ food will be served at the Legion from 5.30pm.

More information will be available soon but make sure you save the date 😊
