Oddfellow’s Announcement for Wakes Saturday

Following a request from the carnival committee, the Parwich Oddfellow committee members have decided to parade the Oddfellow banner on Wakes Saturday, through the village, following behind the band music at 3pm. They will follow the normal Oddfellows walk route.
It would be appreciated if you could support them from the safety of your garden as they pass through the village.

Although our Churches are closed, the Vicar, the Rev Carollyn McDonald, is continuing her ministry as best as possible on line. Here is her start to Easter Sunday on the Group Benefice’s YouTube channel:

Open Gardens Cancelled

Owing to current restrictions on gatherings and non-essential activities, and most importantly in the interest of everyone’s health and well-being, the PDHS has decided not to hold Open Gardens this year.
We are hopeful though and will continue to plan for the future. It may be that we hold a smaller event in the autumn and we will keep you updated. Feel free to join our group on Facebook so you can keep in touch with fellow gardeners and share photos of your activities as we are sure lots of you are enjoying the sun and spending time tending the first spring blooms.
Until then, keep safe and virus-free and thank you so much to everyone who has participated in the past.

St. George’s Day Parade and Duck Race update

Unfortunately, due to the Coronavirus situation we have had to cancel the St. George’s day parade and will be postponing the duck race.
We hope to run the duck race at a later date so for those who have purchased ducks they will be raced at some point or if you prefer you can get a refund from the person you bought them from.
