Entry to the main event (start 7:30pm) £5 for over 18’s. (Trophies for category winners in senior event M, F, MV50, FV50).
Junior races (start 6:30pm) entry is free.

The Ashbourne News Telegraph advise drivers to avoid Ashbourne if possible at present because of three mile tail backs on the A515 north from the town, as a result of the Y Not Festival traffic.

What’s New for This Year’s Show?

The Horticultural Show this year takes place on Sunday 4 September (schedules out soon).
This year people are asked to collect their exhibits after the prize giving. Any items left will be auctioned.
As well as a few tweaks to the usual classes, there is a completely new Craft category consisting of 4 classes:
- A greetings card
- Apiece of handmade jewellery
- An item crafted from wood
- A handmade soft toy
The Photography categories for this year are:
- All in a row
- Purple
- A single flower in focus
Photographs to be no bigger than A4 in size and to have been taken within 20 miles of Parwich.

We have received the following from the Parwich Oddfellows:
To everyone who helped and supported us, and most of all showed their friendship.
Now the Wakes Week as ended, I don’t think we can say, “now the dust can settle” I haven’t seen any over the last week due to the inclement weather.
Last Saturday we marched off from outside our base, thanks to the Sycamore Inn, and its a big thanks also to the Carnival and Recreation Committee with the Parwich RBL for the week we all had, you have more than helped us, and to say we ended the week on the right note was down to the RBL team and our Brother Hotch, (who can ring a bell as well), I think I can quietly say people enjoyed the night.
Big thanks also to Mick and Val on the BBQ, organising and giving your time, it is appreciated greatly.
Thanks also goes to Petal (A Flower) for his trailer.The family fun afternoon will hopefully take place when the weather improves, we will keep you posted and we hope to see you all there.
Most of all its the friendship that’s within the village that creates such a good week for the Oddfellows, and the support given by adults and now juniors joining the Lodge, this keeps us strong and secure for the future, so thank you Brothers and Sisters.
Thank you again to all involved and the support everyone gives.
