The grand re-launch: Friday 2nd September from 3pm, with live music from Elvis at 9pm

There will be no ‘Open the Safe’ at the Legion on Friday (2nd September).
It will resume on Friday 9th September, with a prize fund of £247.
Tea & Cakes in Alsop Churchyard

Tea & Cakes are being served in the churchyard at Alsop en le Dale, 11am – 4pm tomorrow (Monday). Please come along and support this event, in aid of Alsop Church. Stunning views, delicious cakes, not to be missed. Make a walk of it with great refreshments to look forward to.
If you take any local photos over the weekend or of the Tea & Cakes on Monday that you would like share with others through the Blog do send them to parwich@hotmail.co.uk . The Parwich Panoramic “Five”
A picturesque five mile cross country fell race (FRA category CS) starting from The Sycamore Inn, Parwich, DE6 1QA together with Junior fell race events for under 8’s, under 10’s and under 12’s.
Entry to the main event (start 7:30pm) £5 for over 18’s. (Trophies for category winners in senior event M, F, MV50, FV50).
Junior races (start 6:30pm) entry is free.
Registration on the night only.
Traffic Delays today

The Ashbourne News Telegraph advise drivers to avoid Ashbourne if possible at present because of three mile tail backs on the A515 north from the town, as a result of the Y Not Festival traffic.
Do keep our readers updated with your experiences on the roads using comments as the Festival site clears.
