Gold Card Changes

Derbyshire Dales District Council have sent us the following information:

Gold Card application changes in Ashbourne and Bakewell
A new processing system means leisure centres in Ashbourne and Bakewell will not be able to deal with Gold Card applications after 25 September.

Ashbourne Leisure Centre and Bakewell Pool, both operated by Derbyshire Dales District Council, do not have compatible technology.

Gold Card application forms can however be obtained from the libraries in Ashbourne and Bakewell or downloaded at http://www.derbyshire.gov.uk/goldcard and posted to Gold Card, Derbyshire Dales District Council, Town Hall, Matlock, Derbyshire, DE4 3NN. New applications can also be made in person at the Town Hall.

Existing Gold Card holders who have a query about their card can call the District Council on 01629 761199 and can renew their card online at http://www.derbyshire.gov.uk/goldcard.

The Gold Card is Derbyshire County Council’s travel, discount and library card for older people and people with certain disabilities, enabling free off-peak travel on local buses throughout the whole of England, together with discounts at around 700 shops and other local businesses. Gold Card holders can also use community transport dial-a-bus services.
