Our first visit to Parwich. We came with Notts DA, and found you all welcoming and friendly. You put a lot of hard work into Wakes week, and we very much appreciate your efforts, even the weather didn’t dampen your enthusiasm.

9.45 am Oddfellows’ procession – starting from the Sycamore
11.00 am Oddfellows’ Service – in St Peter’s Church. All welcome
1.15 pm Oddfellows’ Dinner – in the Memorial Hall
11.00 am to 2.00 pm Village Market on the Green
12 noon & onwards: BBQ/Rounders on Nethergreen (bring your own BBQ food)
6.00 pm Fancy Dress & Carnival – assemble at the School steps (can we kindly ask that no water is squirted at the spectators)
6.15 pm Grand Fancy Dress Carnival – procession round the village ending at the Green
7.30 pm Hog Roast & Entertainment on the Green (Entertainment: Doveholes Brass Band Concert, Chris Houlihan & NEW ADDITION TO THE LINE UP The A52’s)

I hope our own A52s don’t mind that we have brazenly lifted the following from their Facebook page:
The band is playing on home territory this Saturday (2nd July). Parwich Wakes is starting and a week of fun is about to start!
We will be playing on The Green starting around 9pm. For one night only we will be joined by guest drummer Alex Martin. Here’s a moody promo pic so you can see just what a cool bunch we are.

- Saturday 2nd July- Wakes Saturday – Procession, Village Market, Carnival (to name just a few of the events happening over the day)
- Sunday 3rd July – Fun and Games with the Campers followed later in the day with the Treasure Hunt and BBQ
- Monday 4th July – Children’s Sports
- Tuesday 5th July – Annual Hill Race
- Thursday 7th July – Children’s Film Night
- Friday 8th July – Race Night including the Ball Race and Strength Tester.
