Have you signed up to our Garden Waste Scheme for 2025/26 yet?
You should receive your sticker around 10 days after signing up and this should be displayed on your green bin from 1st April.
If you haven’t received your sticker by 1st April, crews have been advised to check on their system whether residents have signed up and collect bins that are presented where the resident has a subscription even if there is no sticker.

Ellie B is selling a bar type table (originally from Dunelm I believe in 2021). 120cm long, 45 cm wide and 90 cm high. 2 stools to come with it.
There are some minor, tiny white flecks of paint on the wood but they are barely noticeable and I am going to try and get rid of every last remnant but may be a few little bits left.
Hoping to sell them all together for £100. Ellie’s number is 07508 340709.

Update for Bradbourne & Parwich Heating Oil Club
While Brent Crude ends the week higher at just under $72 a barrel, the Pound has continued to strengthen against the US Dollar, helping to reduce the cost of UK kerosene again this week.
Top up before the Easter rush: With Easter just under a month away, we recommend ordering soon if you wish to beat the increased demand and delivery timelines around Easter.
Estimated delivery times are currently 7 to 12 working days from when club orders close on Monday, and are subject to weather and supply conditions. If you are low, or have less than 6 weeks supply left, this order is not suitable.
Rate: £0.5598 (pence per litre excluding vat – 5% for Domestic use. There are no surcharges or admin fees)

Hello,
I am very excited to be moving to the village next week. I am hoping someone might be able to help me. I have 2 mini Shetland ponies who may need a home; is there anyone who might be able to rent me a bit of land please or who might like them as companions?
Thanks
Amanda

Please can we remind people to look after and respect the equipment on the hard play area. The school had a multi school netball tournament on Tuesday and every single netball/basketball net had been taken apart or broken. There is another event on Tuesday so please if you are using it and have to move equipment, do it carefully so everyone can make the best use of the facilities. If things are broken please report them to the Parish Council clerk@parwichparishcouncil.org.uk

We would just like to sincerely thank everybody who supported our fund raiser on Saturday March 8th, whether that was by joining in, providing us with the huge amount of lots for the auction or by being so generous when buying in the auction or by providing a donation.

We would like to thank the Parwich Oddfellows for supporting our event, once again, and also thank them for the generous donation they made to the cause.
Other ‘thank yous’ include Parwich Legion for holding the event, Jimmy and Mick for cooking the BBQ, Rob for organising Blankety Blank and everyone else who helped us.
We’d particularly like to thank Jonathon Hotchin for being our head auctioneer he did an excellent job, he even managed to break Paul’s record for selling 6 eggs for £65 by achieving £80.
Don’t forget if you know anyone who needs help, please let us know.
Carl and Emma

The story made famous by the legend of William Tell shooting the apple balanced on his son’s head.
We are in 14th Century Switzerland, and Tell, once a peaceful hunter leads his people to rebellion after his family and country are threatened by a tyrannical Austrian King.
In Switzerland, the once peaceful country is overwhelmed and bows under the Austrian might as it advances and upends the quiet lives of the Swiss peasants. With wonderful vistas of the Swiss landscapes, this is a remarkable film.

Additional traffic management measures will start from Monday 10 March, including local diversions northbound to avoid the closed section of the A515:
• Southbound light traffic will be unaffected and will be able to travel down Buxton Road as usual.
• Cars and light vehicles wishing to travel north (A515 St John Street) should follow diversions for ‘Town Centre Parking’ along Park Road, Cokayne Avenue and The Green Road, as an alternative to Compton, Dig Street and St John Street.
• Hall Lane will be one way from South to North (uphill), open for access and buses only. Entry will be from Park Rd/Cockayne Avenue.
• Northbound HGVs will be diverted away from the town centre.
• A short diversion remains in place along King Edward Street, Station Road and Church Street.
The road closures and HGV restrictions are expected to stay in place until September this year.
