Please note that this is a different film to the one that was originally advertised.

Return to the magic and wonder of C.S. Lewis’ beloved world The Chronicles of Narnia — via the fantastic Narnian ship, the Dawn Treader. Edmund and Lucy Pevensie, along with their cousin Eustace, their royal friend King Caspian and a warrior mouse named Reepicheep, find themselves swallowed into a painting and onto the Dawn Treader. Their mission — on which rests the fate of Narnia itself — takes the courageous voyagers to mysterious islands and a river that turns to gold, to fateful confrontations with magical creatures and sinister enemies and to a reunion with their friend and protector, the “Great Lion” Aslan.

Today details of the route of the Olympic Torch have been released. The torch will pass quite close to Parwich, the day before Wakes Saturday, on Friday 29th June. The exact detail is still unknown, but on that day, the 800g torch will have gone up the Heights of Abraham at Matlock, through Darley Dale, Bakewell, Buxton, Ashbourne and then will stay overnight in Derby. On the Friday evening there will be events to celebrate its arrival in the city.

Marion F-S who is very involved with the Friends of DRCS (Derwent Rural Counselling Service), has asked us to advertise this event. The Fashion Show is being organised by Izzy, a lovely dress shop in Baslow and all the proceeds are being donated to DRCS, which lots of Parwich people have supported very loyally over the years.
Please ring Marion on 519 for a ticket or to enquire about the possibility of a lift.
