Help with Fibre Broadband

Is anyone having Fibre broadband installed in their property any time soon? I noticed Open Reach vans in the village yesterday but they were gone by the time I went to speak to them.

I’d like to upgrade to Fibre at Brook Cottage (it would actually be cheaper to upgrade than remain on my current broadband now my initial contract has expired) but I need to be able to explain the scope of work required to get permission from my landlords. If anyone has Open Reach technicians at their property can you please let me know so I can make enquiries with them?

Many thanks

Dani

Wanted: Plants!!

Do you have any spare plants, seedlings, cuttings or divisions?

Our plant stall at Open Gardens is always very popular and raises a lot of money which is then distributed to village organisations.

Please bring any contributions – labelled please – to Fernlea (opposite the Memorial Hall) and leave behind the log store

by FRIDAY 20TH JUNE.

Thank you!!

June Parwich Film Show OCEAN

OCEAN WITH DAVID ATTENBOROUGH -a full length documentary- is a breathtaking journey showing there is nowhere more vital for our survival, more full of life, wonder, or surprise, than the ocean.

Through spectacular sequences featuring coral reefs, kelp forests and the open ocean, Attenborough shares why a healthy ocean keeps the entire planet stable and flourishing.

Stunning, immersive cinematography showcases the wonder of life under the seas and exposes the realities and challenges facing our ocean as never-before-seen, from destructive fishing techniques to mass coral reef bleaching. Yet the story is one of optimism, with Attenborough pointing to inspirational stories from around the world to deliver his greatest message: the ocean can recover to a glory beyond anything anyone alive has ever seen.

Guardian *****  Ocean with David Attenborough review – a passionate case against the ruination of the seas- Released on his 99th birthday and presented in the context of his remarkable career, Sir David’s authority is matched only by nature’s grandeur in this visually stunning film

Time Out “If you’ve watched BBC nature documentaries over the last decade, you’ll have seen similar images, but only the coldest of souls could ever tire of the sight of dolphins and seabirds all swarming around an undulating ball of silver fish. On the cinema screen it looks more breathtaking than it ever could on TV”
