House clearance

When we held the sale if Gill Simpson’s artwork someone mentioned that they would like the large three piece suite when we cleared the house. If it was as you I wonder if you could contact me on 07410887588 so we could arrange collection.

We have a huge amount of furniture including some nice antique pieces, tools, ladders and much more plus a selection of Gills paintings too.

Thanks

Thanks to Phil Kirkham for coming to the rescue – the road is now clear!

Currently no access to top of Creamery Lane and Gibbons Bank from either route due to a van being stuck.

Please avoid it if possible.. they’ve called the AA for assistance which is likely to take some time.

If anyone has a tractor/vehicle with the ability to assist in the meantime please help!

Chauffeur duties?

One of my clients is hosting an event in a neighbouring village, and is looking for someone (with the use of their own car) to provide a shuttle service to ferry partygoers back from the party to their lodgings in nearby villages.  The “do” is on Saturday 17 May, and their services would be required from around 11pm until the early hours of the Sunday morning.  The driver would be paid handsomely!  Please drop me an email if you would like more information and to be considered for the job.  If this appeals to a younger village member, please ensure that you run it past a parent first.

My email address is louiseingham1@hotmail.co.uk
Many thanks

Creamery Lane closure

Message from Severn Trent

We are undertaking essential works on Creamery Lane outside Old Farm House, DE61QB. To enable our teams to resolve this issue as quickly and safely as possible a road closure is in place and we expect to complete this work by 18/02/2025. The works may be completed earlier than expected. We will maintain access to residents as best as possible during this time. We are sorry for any inconvenience this might cause and will work hard to get the repair made and get everything back to normal as soon as possible. Thank you from Eva

I was recently left some wonderful plant pots on my drive. This is not an isolated incident because last year someone was kind enough to leave plants on my stall

I thought maybe after a few days I would learn who had been so thoughtful but never did, so all that is left is to post here and express my heartfelt appreciation.

Thank you
