The District Council has a Corporate Plan for 2024 to 2028, informed by the views of residents gathered in previous Residents’ Survey in 2023. They have now commissioned Marketing Means, an independent research agency, to undertake a new survey of residents’ satisfaction and views on services provided by the council, which will provide evidence to allow the council to deliver any improvements required and adjust resources.

When we held the sale if Gill Simpson’s artwork someone mentioned that they would like the large three piece suite when we cleared the house. If it was as you I wonder if you could contact me on 07410887588 so we could arrange collection.

We have a huge amount of furniture including some nice antique pieces, tools, ladders and much more plus a selection of Gills paintings too.
Thanks
Jackie Bateman

Thanks to Phil Kirkham for coming to the rescue – the road is now clear!
Currently no access to top of Creamery Lane and Gibbons Bank from either route due to a van being stuck.

Please avoid it if possible.. they’ve called the AA for assistance which is likely to take some time.
If anyone has a tractor/vehicle with the ability to assist in the meantime please help!

Parwich Primary School PTA have decided to no longer use Bags2school as their rates have dropped very low but please place all your clothes, bedding and shoes in the red bin (picture below) within the Sycamore Inn car park as all the money generated from this goes to Parwich Primary School.

Thank you Lucy M

One of my clients is hosting an event in a neighbouring village, and is looking for someone (with the use of their own car) to provide a shuttle service to ferry partygoers back from the party to their lodgings in nearby villages. The “do” is on Saturday 17 May, and their services would be required from around 11pm until the early hours of the Sunday morning. The driver would be paid handsomely! Please drop me an email if you would like more information and to be considered for the job. If this appeals to a younger village member, please ensure that you run it past a parent first.
My email address is louiseingham1@hotmail.co.uk
Many thanks

Message from Severn Trent
We are undertaking essential works on Creamery Lane outside Old Farm House, DE61QB. To enable our teams to resolve this issue as quickly and safely as possible a road closure is in place and we expect to complete this work by 18/02/2025. The works may be completed earlier than expected. We will maintain access to residents as best as possible during this time. We are sorry for any inconvenience this might cause and will work hard to get the repair made and get everything back to normal as soon as possible. If you wish to talk to us about this, please respond by clicking the following link:
