Missing parcel

Has anyone had a parcel left at their property addressed to Vivien Heyes at “The Cottage”. It’s a router from BT who’ve got the address wrong and it’s been delivered somewhere else. See photo.

If you’ve got it I can come and pick it up.

Update for Bradbourne & Parwich Heating Oil Club

Oil prices remain where they started this week, with Brent Crude staying at $75 a barrel as the markets continue to digest the new US administrations plans for Oil and Gas, along wjavascript:false;ith the forecasted tariffs.

Peak season is upon us, so please order earlier than usual: We are getting reports that a lot of suppliers are now at full capacity and are delivering at the very end of their delivery timelines. Therefore, please ensure you top up earlier at this time of year than usual, to avoid running out before your delivery arrives. Estimated delivery times are currently 10 to 12 working days from when club orders close on Monday, and are subject to weather and supply conditions. If you are low, or have less than 6 weeks winter supply left, this order is not suitable.

Rate: £0.5898  (pence per litre excluding vat – 5% for Domestic use. There are no surcharges or admin fees)

District Council Survey

The District Council has a Corporate Plan for 2024 to 2028, informed by the views of residents gathered in previous Residents’ Survey in 2023.  They have now commissioned Marketing Means, an independent research agency, to undertake a new survey of residents’ satisfaction and views on services provided by the council, which will provide evidence to allow the council to deliver any improvements required and adjust resources.

Take part in the survey here.

House clearance

When we held the sale if Gill Simpson’s artwork someone mentioned that they would like the large three piece suite when we cleared the house. If it was as you I wonder if you could contact me on 07410887588 so we could arrange collection.

We have a huge amount of furniture including some nice antique pieces, tools, ladders and much more plus a selection of Gills paintings too.

Thanks

Thanks to Phil Kirkham for coming to the rescue – the road is now clear!

Currently no access to top of Creamery Lane and Gibbons Bank from either route due to a van being stuck.

Please avoid it if possible.. they’ve called the AA for assistance which is likely to take some time.

If anyone has a tractor/vehicle with the ability to assist in the meantime please help!

Chauffeur duties?

One of my clients is hosting an event in a neighbouring village, and is looking for someone (with the use of their own car) to provide a shuttle service to ferry partygoers back from the party to their lodgings in nearby villages.  The “do” is on Saturday 17 May, and their services would be required from around 11pm until the early hours of the Sunday morning.  The driver would be paid handsomely!  Please drop me an email if you would like more information and to be considered for the job.  If this appeals to a younger village member, please ensure that you run it past a parent first.

My email address is louiseingham1@hotmail.co.uk
Many thanks
