Alsop Road Closure

What’s On

Creamery Lane closure

Message from Severn Trent

We are undertaking essential works on Creamery Lane outside Old Farm House, DE61QB. To enable our teams to resolve this issue as quickly and safely as possible a road closure is in place and we expect to complete this work by 18/02/2025. The works may be completed earlier than expected. We will maintain access to residents as best as possible during this time. We are sorry for any inconvenience this might cause and will work hard to get the repair made and get everything back to normal as soon as possible. If you wish to talk to us about this, please respond by clicking the following link:

Update for Bradbourne & Parwich Heating Oil Club

Brent Crude is down to $75 this week on global trade war fears but with the pound down against the dollar and current high demand for Kerosene in the UK, prices remain relatively flat.

Peak season is upon us, so please order earlier than usual: We are getting reports that a lot of suppliers are now at full capacity and are delivering at the very end of their delivery timelines. Therefore, please ensure you top up earlier at this time of year than usual, to avoid running out before your deliveries arrive. Estimated delivery times are currently 10 to 12 working days from club order on Monday and are subject to weather and supply conditions. If you are low, or have less than 6 weeks winter supply left, this order is not suitable.

Rate: £0.5928 (pence per litre excluding vat – 5% for Domestic use. There are no surcharges or admin fees)

Thank you from Eva

I was recently left some wonderful plant pots on my drive. This is not an isolated incident because last year someone was kind enough to leave plants on my stall

I thought maybe after a few days I would learn who had been so thoughtful but never did, so all that is left is to post here and express my heartfelt appreciation.

Thank you

Starting next week on Monday 3rd February, Derbyshire Dales District Council is launching a new free weekly collection service for Small Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE). Residents can now easily recycle small WEEE items such as old toasters, kettles, hairdryers, and other electrical devices that require a plug or battery. Please place small WEEE items, loose, by the side of your bins/sacks/caddies by 7am on your weekly waste collection day. These items will then be collected by our food collection vehicles, which have cages fitted to the underside.  Find out which items you can leave out.

Derbyshire Dales Car Park Charges

30 minutes free in Derbyshire Dales town centre car parks

A progressive new measure allowing vehicles to park for up to 30 minutes free in Derbyshire Dales District Council’s town centre car parks will come into operation from 1 April.

For Dales residents, this comes on top of free parking with their resident permit in all of the District Council’s car parks before 11am and after 3pm every day of the year.

The 30 minutes free quick-stay – which cannot be added to a longer period in the same car park – will apply in Ashbourne to Shawcroft, the Bus Station and Clifton Road, in Bakewell to Granby Road and the Market Place, in Matlock to Imperial Road (M&S), Lido, Olde Englishe, Spa Villas and Town Hall front and in Wirksworth to the Market Place.
