Parwich Primary School PTA have decided to no longer use Bags2school as their rates have dropped very low but please place all your clothes, bedding and shoes in the red bin (picture below) within the Sycamore Inn car park as all the money generated from this goes to Parwich Primary School.

Thank you Lucy M

One of my clients is hosting an event in a neighbouring village, and is looking for someone (with the use of their own car) to provide a shuttle service to ferry partygoers back from the party to their lodgings in nearby villages. The “do” is on Saturday 17 May, and their services would be required from around 11pm until the early hours of the Sunday morning. The driver would be paid handsomely! Please drop me an email if you would like more information and to be considered for the job. If this appeals to a younger village member, please ensure that you run it past a parent first.
My email address is louiseingham1@hotmail.co.uk
Many thanks

Peak season is upon us, so please order earlier than usual: We are getting reports that a lot of suppliers are now at full capacity and are delivering at the very end of their delivery timelines. Therefore, please ensure you top up earlier at this time of year than usual, to avoid running out before your deliveries arrive. Estimated delivery times are currently 10 to 14 working days from club order on Monday and are subject to weather and supply conditions. If you are low, or have less than 6 weeks winter supply left, this order is not suitable.

We are undertaking essential works on Creamery Lane outside Old Farm House, DE61QB. To enable our teams to resolve this issue as quickly and safely as possible a road closure is in place and we expect to complete this work by 18/02/2025. The works may be completed earlier than expected. We will maintain access to residents as best as possible during this time. We are sorry for any inconvenience this might cause and will work hard to get the repair made and get everything back to normal as soon as possible. I was recently left some wonderful plant pots on my drive. This is not an isolated incident because last year someone was kind enough to leave plants on my stall
I thought maybe after a few days I would learn who had been so thoughtful but never did, so all that is left is to post here and express my heartfelt appreciation.
Thank you
Eva B

This stunning film is tipped to be Film of the Year. Starring the wonderful Ralph Fiennes as Cardinal Lawrence, a character who is tasked with running this covert selection process after the unexpected death of a beloved Pope. Once the Catholic Church’s most powerful leaders have gathered from around the world and are locked together in the Vatican halls, Lawrence uncovers a trail of deep secrets left in the dead Pope’s wake–secrets which could shake the foundations of the Church
.
Guardian review ***** Fiennes gives one of the performances of the year as a cardinal assailed on all sides in Edward Berger’s elegant adaptation of Robert Harris’s Vatican
bestseller
