FREE OF CHARGE until the end of January. Everybody is welcome to come and join in the activities or just enjoy a cuppa and a chat. If you would like to come along but are struggling to get then please get in touch as we may be able to help.
Ellie B from Parwich Lane has a chest of drawers for sale. They are £50 but she is open to offers (especially if they are collected). It’s good quality pine but because it’s not varnished there are some stains on the top (shown in photo) but other than that, they are good quality and in good nick. Contact Ellie on eburt91@googlemail.com if you are interested or have any more questions.
Thelma is a 93 year old widow, who like many of us, has been scammed by a telephone caller and lost £10,000. Not one to put up with the deception, and with the help of her grandson, she sets out, Mission Impossible style, to catch the perpetrators. This critically acclaimed comedy film is based on the real life experience of the director’s grandmother. Starring June Squibb, who after 70 years playing supporting roles, and at the age of 94 takes on her first leading role. Movie Review: “Thelma” an Early Contender for the Year’s Best Comedy
Guardian Ninety-four-year-old Squibb is great as a woman going after phone scammers – with the help of the late Shaft star Richard Roundtree – in a robust feelgood comedy
FRIDAY 13th December 7.45PM

A special thank you must go to Liz E and Karen W for organising the appeal. Thanks also to the band of door to door sellers especially Tim R and to all those who sponsored a lampost poppy, including the men’s walking group.
Also a thank you to Roy M for putting the poppies on the lampposts and taking them down again
