Does anyone have a gazebo that they would be willing to loan to the Cricket Club for the Trent Bridge match on Sunday September 24th, to provide temporary changing facilities to our guests from Nottingham?
Ideally it would need at least 2 sides that can be fitted for privacy.
Its loan will be much appreciated – erection of it more so….
Many Thanks
MarkJ

Does anybody have a large cardboard box (e.g. washing machine size) that I could take off your hands please? I need to parcel up something for mailing off, so something suitable for that would be much appreciated.
If you can help, please phone Jon, on 390075

We have decided to take Knob Hall back to its original name of Old Hall.
It enjoyed this name until it became an industrial building in 1900 namely, the Parwich Creamery. When the Creamery closed in 1925, it became Knob Hall.
Whilst the actual reason for renaming the building Knob Hall has been lost in the mists of time, we believe it came about by the addition of knob finials on each of the gable ends.

We had a call from someone claiming to be from BT, they had a lot of information i.e. our BT account number, they sent a text to Judith’s phone with a pin number. They knew when our last bill was and for how much. They said there was unusual activity around our Broadband and asked us to log in so they could show us. We did and then they asked us to look into other accounts to see if we’d been hacked i.e. our Amazon account. Low and behold a fraudulent activity was there! Well we thought it was there, when in fact, they “supposed BT” had changed / altered the screen we were looking at. To make a very long story short we cut the call and then did the usual, called the bank, changed Amazon password, logged the scam with BT and changed our BT password.
BT said they NEVER call their customers unless they have been requested to i.e. you, the customer rings them and they are responding to your request. If you get a call from BT out of the blue – hang up, it’s a scam.

Your Council Your Voice 2023 – Short Summer Survey – Your chance to win £100
As part of our ongoing dialogue to better understand the views of residents and communities throughout Derbyshire we have created a short survey to run alongside our annual ‘Your Council Your Voice’ consultation which runs each autumn to gather residents’ views about council services. The aim of the survey is to collect residents’ overall views and perceptions of the council in order to track our progress and gather regular feedback. This will enable us to compare with previous results from 2022 and compare with national trends over the short and long term.
We would therefore be grateful if you could take 5 mins to fill out this short survey. The survey will be open until midnight on Wednesday 16th August 2023.
Alternatively, please click on this link to go to the survey: www.derbyshire.gov.uk/yourvoice2023
Once you have completed the survey you will also have an opportunity to enter our prize draw to win a £100 gift card.
All information you provide will be kept strictly confidential. More information is available in our privacy statement.
You can also find more information about all our current consultations on our Have your Say webpages on the Derbyshire County Council website. Have your say – Derbyshire County Council
If you have any queries about the survey, please contact us via email: haveyoursay@derbyshire.gov.uk
If you do not want to receive any further consultation emails and communication from us please reply to this email and let us know.

Our cottage on Lenscliffe has an oil-fired Rayburn that needs to be serviced. Our usual company, Norton’s, seems to have gone out of business. Does anyone know of a good engineer who could do this for us?
