More apples …
The apples on my apple tree ripen a bit later than others and I now have plenty. They are better as cookers but not bad as an eating apple either. I have put a box at the bottom of the drive. Please help yourself. Bring your own bags.

UPDATE 14.10 the dog is still wandering around the village Fiona H

I’m in Pump Hill Gardens and there was a golden lab, no collar, and it’s just headed down the hill towards memorial hall. I didn’t get close enough to encourage it back. (Coming up to 1pm)
As a reminder, “part of The Control of Dogs Order 1992 specifically relates to the fact that, when in a public space, pet dogs must wear a collar with their owner’s information. These details can be inscribed on the collar itself, or written on a plate or badge attached to your dog’s collar.”
Of course there may be a collar and I didn’t notice it so my apologies in advance but hopefully the pooch and owner will be together again soon!

Thank you to everyone for your generous donations so far.

Thank you to everyone who came along and supported yesterday’s event it was a great turnout and we hope you all had a great time.
The generosity of people last night was greatly appreciated, as was the hard work of all the volunteers (which is still continuing with the big clean up). A special thank you to Parwich Parish Council for their kind donation towards the fireworks. So from me and the Committee, THANK YOU it all means we can carry on for another year.
Please can you ensure that no one passes the blue rope barrier around the bonfire until the Committee have completely cleared the site. The area is out of bounds to all until then.
Thank you again and see you next year.
