Hi I have 6 chickens 3 of which are 20 week old POL. 1 of my new girls keeps going walkies. I believe she is getting through the hedge and out that way and ending up on the path opposite the school. I have collected her a few times from other people’s gardens. I have knocked on but no one is in so have just been grabbing her and bringing her home. She’s very tame and will let you pick her up. She has currently gone walkies and I can’t find her. Please if you see her either bring her back if you want to i live on Lenscliffe or give me a text/call my number is 07950823369 and I will fetch her.

Update for Bradbourne & Parwich Heating Oil Club
Crude continues to hover between $78 and $80 a barrel but as Brexit negations appear to hit an impasse, the pound has fallen sharply against the dollar today, pushing up the cost of kerosene further. It looks like we could be in for a bumpy ride over the next few months.
With the weather turning cooler, suppliers are busy. Therefore please order early and allow plenty of time for delivery. If you are low then this order may not be suitable. Typical estimated delivery time frames are between 7 to 10 days working days.
You can help reduce harmful diesel emissions, CO2, danger and damage on our roads and to our villages by joining in with our group orders. In doing so we can reduce the number of heavy goods trucks driving through our towns and villages. We have secured a rate and our clubs group oil order terms for this weekend are as follows:
Rate: £0.5025 (pence per litre excluding vat [5% for Domestic use])

A big thank you to those who braved the awful weather this evening to learn how to use the static defibrillator. I think everyone agreed that John’s training was clear and reassuring, with the emphasis on just doing something, even if it might not be textbook correct. We even raised £32 for the Air Ambulance in the process.

A Flood Alert has been issued by the Environment Agency.
Flood Alert in force: Upper Dove.

The new climbing frame on the Green is complete. There is still fencing up while the cement around it sets fully. The fencing should be removed in the next few days.

Oh Bountiful Harvest 🌾🍁
Where to start…..
Our amazing little community once again provided an outstanding array of makes, bakes, produced, foraged, grown and created items for the auction which was expertly handled by our Master of Ceremonies Paul Cooper who managed, along with the help of his glamorous assistant Gillian Evans, to get the best bids out of everyone – even if they didn’t realise it 😜
A big thank you to Revd. Carollyn McDonald and Ruth Collie for the Blessing and the Reading, interspersed with a couple of rousing hymns for us all to exercise our vocal chords to 😇
Thanks also to Parwich Horticultural Society who generously donated items from their annual show which helped swell the table even more.
But as always, the biggest thank you goes to anyone and everyone who was involved in any way, because thanks to you, we broke last years record and raised an incredible £812.65 which goes to the Parwich Independent Welfare Fund 👏👏.
A very grateful well done and thank you from all of us at your favourite watering hole.

Update for Bradbourne & Parwich Heating Oil Club
Kerosene rates continues their upward trend and as the weather turns cooler suppliers are much busier. If you have not filled up for winter, I would recommend doing as so soon as you can.
In grouping this week’s orders, we can substantially reduce harmful diesel emissions, CO2, danger and damage on our roads and to our villages.
We have secured a rate and our clubs group oil order terms for this weekend are as follows:
Rate: £0.4966 (pence per litre excluding vat [5% for Domestic use])

On Monday the new climbing frame will be installed on the green. It will be located between the tree with the seats and the existing row of swings. An artists impression of the installation can be seen here. Please note note that differs slightly from what will be installed. All of the features are the same but it is being installed in an “L” shaped configuration to tuck around the tree. This will maintain sight lines along the green and access for the funfair at Wakes.
Most of the current equipment was installed over fifteen years ago so an update with scope for more imaginative play has been well overdue. The equipment chosen was based on ideas provided by children at the school.
The Parish Council has been able to purchase the new climbing Frame with assistance from the Tarmac Landfill Communities Fund (via the Derbyshire Environmental Trust) and the Derbyshire Dales Local Project Fund.
