To comply with best practice the Parish Council website and e-mail addresses have had to be changed as follows.
Website
from https://www.parwichparishcouncil.org.uk to https://www.parwichparishcouncil.gov.uk
from clerk@parwichparishcouncil.org.uk to clerk@parwichparishcouncil.gov.uk
Amongst other benefits this gives greater security for the website against hacking and reduces the chance that Parish Council e-mail will be blocked by filters.
The e-mail addresses for contacting Councillors are unaffected.
For the time being any use of the old addresses will be redirected to the new ones. But please change any link, or contact information you have to reflect the new addresses.

Don’t forget to visit the church to see the flowers from last weekends Flower Festival.

They still look beautiful and will remain in church until this Saturday 27 July.

We have recently recived this informtaion about Alsop Hall following a thread on Parwich.Org going back to 2010:
“I can shed a little light on this query.
There is a photo of Alsop Hall in an old photo album I have inherited, taken in 1921. See attached photo. There is also a picture of a man my father said was the owner of the hall at the time and he gave his name as Norris Heald.
Hope that helps,
We are not related to the family, but I would be interested to know if you discover anything more.
Kay H”

Lots of prints and some furniture for summer rehab projects.
All items £5, cash only (no change) but if you’d like sets of some of the prints, £10 for the set. Plus unused fireside set. £10.
Call 01335 390454 or email cjgregory@live.co.uk for more information.
Collection only. Feel free to go into front garden to look and fresh doorbell on white door as I can’t hear knocks on side green door.
If not bought today through Thursday, they will go in the skip. And remember to keep the front car parking space empty for said skip. Thanks.

I am currently clearing out 8 Sycamore Cottages and will require the parking space directly outside my home for two weeks from Thursday.
More cars are parking there of late but I must request this is held off for the rest of July.
In August / September the space will also needed for the removal vehicles and family helping me relocate. Please use other areas to park including free parking down the lane.
Some items will also be up for sale shortly so keep an eye on the blog for potential little project furniture, and prints of Marilyn Monroe, Peaky Blinders and other prints.

WE MADE IT 🎉🎉. Wakes 2024 you have been awesome. What a week! It’s been action packed and we are completely exhausted but happy to meet so many friends old and new. We are a truly special village and we need to try and maintain that as long as possible.
Wakes would not be possible without the help and support from so many volunteers, the Carnival and Recreation Committee, the Oddfellows, Kirsty, Jane,Tom and the Sycamore Team and everyone at the Legion. So from me to you thank you. It’s time for a rest now but we will be back in 2025.
Signing off for now but leaving you with a few of my photo highlights..
