The Parwich Panoramic “Five”

A picturesque five mile cross country fell race (FRA category CS) starting from The Sycamore Inn, Parwich, DE6 1QA together with Junior fell race events for under 8’s, under 10’s and under 12’s.

Entry to the main event (start 7:30pm) £5 for over 18’s. (Trophies for category winners in senior event M, F, MV50, FV50).

Junior races (start 6:30pm) entry is free.

Registration on the night only.

Happy 4th of July

To our American residents and readers, Happy Independence Day.

Local links to America date back to well before 1776, with Aslops, Brownsons and Hawleys emigrating to New England in the early 1600s, and, following the persecution of Quakers in Ashbourne, Henry Gibbons of Parwich emigrated in the 1680s to Pennsylvania (See History Society News letter #21).

I hope our own A52s don’t mind that we have brazenly lifted the following from their Facebook page:

The band is playing on home territory this Saturday (2nd July). Parwich Wakes is starting and a week of fun is about to start!

We will be playing on The Green starting around 9pm. For one night only we will be joined by guest drummer Alex Martin. Here’s a moody promo pic so you can see just what a cool bunch we are.
