Queen’s 90th Birthday Celebration Tomorrow

We are hoping the weather is going to be kind to us and everything can go ahead as planned – if there are any changes we will post them on here.
Please note that the rockets will now be launched at 10.30pm not 9.30pm as previously advertised.
If you are planning to attend don’t forget your picnic blankets, chairs and any refreshments (drinks and picnic items) to accompany the BBQ.

- Saturday 2nd July- Wakes Saturday – Procession, Village Market, Carnival (to name just a few of the events happening over the day)
- Sunday 3rd July – Fun and Games with the Campers followed later in the day with the Treasure Hunt and BBQ
- Monday 4th July – Children’s Sports
- Tuesday 5th July – Annual Hill Race
- Thursday 7th July – Children’s Film Night
- Friday 8th July – Race Night including the Ball Race and Strength Tester.

Tuesday 2nd August 2016 6:30pm onwards, come and enjoy a summer evening of running for all the family, culminating with the……….
The Parwich Panoramic “Five”
A picturesque five mile cross country fell race (FRA category CS) starting from The Sycamore Inn, Parwich, DE6 1QA together with Junior fell race events for under 8’s, under 10’s and under 12’s.
Entry to the main event (start 7:30pm) £5 for over 18’s. (Trophies for category winners in senior event M, F, MV50, FV50).
Junior races (start 6:30pm) entry is free.
Registration on the night only.

Tea & Cakes in the Church Yard

Tea & Cakes are being served in the churchyard at Alsop en le Dale, 11am – 4pm tomorrow (Monday). Please come along and support this event, in aid of Alsop Church. Stunning views, delicious cakes, not to be missed. Make a walk of it with great refreshments to look forward to.

This weekend sees artists across the county opening their studios to the public as part of Derbyshire Open Arts.
The event runs from 10am to 5pm on Saturday 28th, Sunday 29th and Monday 39th May. In Parwich Ruby Hickmott and Gillian Radcliff are opening their studios.
