Generous Support

The Blog Team would like to thank the Horticultural Society and another donor who wishes to remain anonymous for their kind donations. The Blog has been running since 2007 and until this year has been funded by the Blog Team members.

Parwich.org costs an average of £120 per year to run, with an additional £40 spent last year to provide prizes for competitions. Costs have increased over the years as more storage/memory space has had to be purchased. Other costs include the cost of the domain, the cost of a version of WordPress which we can customise and the cost of keeping the site free of adverts.

Thank you for your support,
Peter, Emma, Fiona, Lucy and Steve

Horticultural Society Donations

At last night’s Horticultural Society AGM £500 was donated to the following village groups:

Parwich Over 60s

Churchyard Volunteer Group towards the cost of a new shed

Parwich School Eco Committee

Parwich. Org, village blog and website towards running costs.

The success of the Open Gardens event has enabled the society to help local groups as a thank you to the village for the time, tolerance and assistance given during Open Gardens. Money raised at this event is also used to subsidise Horticultural Society trips and to help fund the Annual Horticultural Show in September.

Open Gardens next year will take place on Sunday 26 June.
