Oil Price Settles Down

FBF25C80-2C22-4991-8A46-7C20D86EC212
Update for Bradbourne & Parwich Heating Oil Club

Crude prices have settled back to around $65 a barrel this week as Middle Eastern tensions continue to calm down. Rates are generally lower this week compared to recent months so it may be a good time to order for the cold months ahead.

Estimated delivery times are up to 10 working days. If you are low on oil, this order will not be suitable. Delivery times are estimated and subject to supply and weather conditions, so please order early. For peace of mind, we always recommend ordering when you have around six weeks supply in cold conditions.

TIP: If your tank level is low when new oil is added, sludge and water sat on the bottom can be stirred up and sucked into your system and cause issues. Aside from filling up in plenty of time, it is also a good idea to add additives to your oil to inhibit sludge build up, and also to use water scavengers every so often to absorb any water sat at the bottom of your tank. You can find a range of additives and water scavengers in our Club Store.

Rate:  £0.4536 (pence per litre excluding vat [5% for Domestic use])

House to Rent Wanted

Hi Everyone.
Can anyone help out? We shall shortly be moving across the village to our new house but our lovely tenants are struggling to find a new home. Does anyone know of a house either to rent now or coming up very shortly. They are a lovely business couple and have been model tenants. They need three bedrooms as they work from home.
Please email me or phone on 390206 if you know of anything.

Update for Bradbourne & Parwich Heating Oil Club

After the events this week in the Middle East it would appear concerns of a major escalation have eased, as Crude prices head back to pre-crisis levels of around $65 a barrel.

Estimated delivery times are up to 10 working days. If you are low on oil, this order will not be suitable. Delivery times are estimated and subject to supply and weather conditions, so please order early. For peace of mind, we would always recommend ordering when you have around six plus weeks supply in cold conditions.

TIP: Make your fuel go further and upgrade to premium fuel with Exocet additive. Exocet additives lower carbon emissions, stabilise fuel, inhibit sludge formation in the tank, and improve overall fuel performance. Additives can be purchased from The Club Store. If you have an AGA then please ensure you order the Cooker additive.

Rate:  £0.4750 (pence per litre excluding vat [5% for Domestic use])

Damage by White Van

We received this yesterday from Saskia T:

White Van  various damage

This afternoon, between 13:00-13:30 approx., a white van(unmarked?) caused damage to a propertyalongCreamery Lanetrying to negotiate a corner,as well as damage to the Creamery Green after trying to reverse firstup Monsdale Lane, then back down and again reversing up Creamery Lane as far as the top of the Green taking chunks out of the Green and leaving scrape marks on the road. The driving standard was clearly appalling.Unfortunately I didn’t get to the road in time to talk to the driver (plus 1 passenger?)nor tot ake the registration number. I could only watch the van disappear in the distanceI got the impression that they hadn’t reached their destination and simply gave up.

Does anyone know who this could have been, did anyone expect goods but didn’t receive them? The firm / driver of this van really needs to know that their actions are totally unacceptable.

Thank you to Richard T for sending us this photo of the damage to the Green

Vandalism at the Pavilion

The Parish Council has been made aware of several instances of minor vandalism affecting the Pavilion at Parsons Croft. If you use Parsons Croft please keep a look out for anything suspicious and let the Parish Council know if you have any concerns.

Ey up me duck!

Does anyone know of any ducks that need re homing? Investigations have suggested that one of the reasons that so much weed built up in the sheep-wash last year may have been that there are no longer any ducks there to eat it. As ducks have nested there in the past it may be possible to re introduce them. The remaining planting in the sheep-wash has been moved into a denser clump in the corner in the hope that it will create a safer and more attractive nesting space.

If anyone would like to try moving any ducks there please let the Parish Council know.

Update for Bradbourne & Parwich Heating Oil Club

As you may have already heard, tensions in the Middle East have once again escalated pushing crude oil to $70 a barrel. Our concern is, with the peak months for heating oil demand ahead, how Iran will react and what will happen with the oil prices?

Estimated delivery times are up to 10 working days. If you are low on oil, this order will not be suitable. Delivery times are estimated and subject to supply and weather conditions, so please order early. For peace of mind, we would always recommend ordering when you have around six plus weeks supply in cold conditions.

TIP: Please check the condition of your tank. Many suppliers require their drivers to inspect the tank for cracks and sags prior to adding oil to a tank, and they may not deliver if the driver finds a problem or is unable to carry out a full inspection. Therefore, please ensure the driver has unrestricted access to your tank. If in doubt, please ask your boiler engineer to inspect the tank as soon as you can.

Pump Hill Southern Boundary

From the Parish Council-

For just over a year the Parish Council has been engaged in discussions regarding the location of the southern boundary of its land at Pump Hill. The title map for the land has been altered to reflect a new general boundary. An account of this process can been read here.

Derby Dales Recycling

We’ll recycle your real Christmas tree
We’ll recycle your real Christmas tree on your green/recycling day between Monday 6 January and Friday 31 January. Simply place the tree at the edge of your property, making sure it’s cut down to no longer than 5ft. Please remove all decorations and the pot. More info

Excess recycling
We are always happy to take excess recycling – all we ask is that any additional material is left at the side of recycling containers and you make sure it is easily identifiable and suitably contained. Find out how to do this here, including how to leave out cardboard for collection.

You can also recycle non-glitter Christmas cards and non-shiny wrapping paper in your blue bin or blue bag, but please note that no additional household waste will be collected, so make sure all your household waste is contained in your grey bin with the lid shut, or, for homes on a sack collection, in four standard sized black sacks.
