Oil Price Drops

imageUpdate for Bradbourne & Parwich Heating Oil Club

The good news this week is as the temperature drops so has the oil price, with Brent Crude falling below $58. However, please order early and allow plenty of time for delivery as suppliers are now getting very busy. Estimated delivery times are now 7 to 10 working days.

TIP: Please double check the level of oil in your tank before you place your order, so you can judge the correct quantity to order. If you have a gauge, it is sometimes worth doing a visual check inside your tank too every now and then, just incase the gauge is incorrect.

Some suppliers will charge extra if they can’t deliver the amount ordered, as they have to cover the costs involved with transporting this fuel back to the depot.

Rate:  £0.4700 (pence per litre excluding vat [5% for Domestic use])

Oil Price Up

imageUpdate for Bradbourne & Parwich Heating Oil Club

Oil Prices are up this week with Brent Crude costing around $64 a barrel, as tensions remain high in the Middle East after last weekends drone attacks. Added to this, and due to strong demand last weekend, Kerosene is also in short supply in some areas with some terminals rationing supply. Delivery times are 7 to 10 working days.

TIP – Pre-winter checks: With winter on its way, please check the condition of your tank. Many suppliers require their drivers to inspect the tank for cracks, sags and whether the tank is fully supported across the base. They may not deliver if the driver finds a problem or is not able to carry out a full inspection.

Therefore, please ensure the driver has unrestricted access to your tank. If in doubt, please ask your boiler engineer to inspect the tank as soon as you can.

Rate:  £0.5000 (pence per litre excluding vat [5% for Domestic use])

Oil Price Steady

imageUpdate for Bradbourne & Parwich Heating Oil Club

Brent Crude is sitting steady this week at $60/$61 a barrel still. However, suppliers are getting busier as we head into the autumn, so it is a good time to top up your tank to prepare for the colder weather. Delivery times are 5 to 10 working days.

TIP – Pre-winter checks: Have you serviced your boiler recently? If not, it would also be a good time to get this booked in to prepare for the winter months ahead.

Over time sludge and deposit can form in your tank, so it is a good idea to upgrade your fuel to premium fuel with an Exocet additive. Exocet additives lower carbon emissions, stabilise fuel, clean injectors, inhibit sludge formation in the tank and improve overall fuel performance. Additives can be purchased from The Oil-Club Shop. If you have an AGA, then please ensure you order the cooker additive.

Rate:  £0.4535 (pence per litre excluding vat [5% for Domestic use])
