We have received the following request from the Memorial Hall Committee:
This Friday sees the Period Fashion Show at the Memorial Hall to commemorate the centenery of the onset of WWI.
The money raised from this event will be split between the Poppy Appeal and the Village Hall Fund.
We are having a raffle to help increase the takings and would be grateful if anybody could donate a prize.If you could help, please see Cheryl Woolley or any member of the Hall Committee. Alternatively, they call be left at the Parwich Royal British Legion or brought along on the night.

Refreshments are off tonight

Because of health problems there will be no refreshments at the film showing in the Memorial Hall tonight (Friday 9th May). There will only be tea/coffee or orange juice.
10.15pm Thank you to the audience members who stepped in to do the tea/coffee. A very well attended evening.

Pilates for the over 60’s

Just a reminder that summer session of Pilates for the Over 60’s has started, the next class is Monday 12th May 3-4pm ( as it is lunch club day, normally it is 2.30- 3.30pm every Monday) in the Memorial Hall. The class is run by Sue Purvis ( Pilates Foundation Qualified Teacher), it is chair based, and aims through gentle movements and exercises to improve functional movement, balance and posture. It is also a good chance to have a cup of tea and chat after the class! If you would like to give it a try please ring Sue Purvis on 390373.
It is supported by Parwich Fit 4 All, and is on a pay-as-you-go basis, £6 per session.

All this for only £5
As long as Val knows in advance, she can cater for vegetarians and those on special diets. She can accommodate those who don’t like what is on the menu, but only with notice.

Badminton at Parwich Memorial Hall
Badminton is running three evenings a week, on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. The Tuesday evening slots are all currently available for regular bookings:
Tuesday: 6-7pm, 7-8pm, 8-9pm and 9-10pm
If you want to play but don’t have a partner, speak to Esther T. To discuss booking a slot contact Janet G at the pub, tel. 390 212. The cost is £6 per one hour slot.
(Please note that Badminton is continuing as normal over the Easter holidays, if you are away for any of your regular slots do let Janet know.)

Badminton at Parwich Memorial Hall
Badminton continues on Wednesday and Thursday evenings. The regular 9 to 10pm slots on both Wednesdays and Thursdays are still available if anyone wants to play then.
This week, because of a couple of cancelations as well, the following slots are available:
Wednesday: 7-8pm, 8-9pm and 9-10pm
Thursday: 8-9pm and 9-10pm

Badminton at Parwich Memorial Hall
Badminton is now up and running on Tuesday and Wednesday, as well as Thursday, evenings. Both the Tuesday and Wednesday slots have been filling quickly. However the 6 to 7pm slot on Tuesdays and the 9 to 10pm on all three evenings are still available if anyone wants to play then.
People that have booked regular slots keep your eyes on the Calendar here at parwich.org through December as the Hall is pre-booked for a number of evenings. Assuming no one wants to play at Christmas or on New Year’s Eve, Badminton will only be on the following evenings this month:
- Tuesday 3rd December
- Wednesday 4th December
- Tuesday 17th December
- Wednesday 18th December
- Thursday 19th December
If you are interested in playing but don’t have a prospective partner let Esther T know. To discuss booking a slot or to register an interest in the possible Sunday slots contact Janet G at the pub, tel. 390 212. Also if any one wants to fit in an extra session instead of the cancelled evenings, speak to Janet about what is possible.
