The next meeting of Parwich Parish Council will be held on Wednesday the 18th November 2020 at 7:30 pm.
Due to the Covid-19 outbreak Parish Councils continue to be advised not to meet face to face unless this is the only way that they can conduct their business.
The meeting will therefore once again be conducted using Zoom. The agenda contains login details that can be used by members of the public to join the meeting.
There is also a telephone number which will enable you to listen to the meeting and speak when permitted.
If you have not used Zoom before you are strongly advised to download their app in advance. This will enable you set it up on your device and familiarise yourself with its operation.

Val, Simon, Phil and Rosie want to thank everyone for their support over the last few weeks, and especially on Tuesday. It was very much appreciated to have so many friends and villagers at the church to welcome the funeral cortege, with special thanks going to the Parwich Oddfellows who gave a guard of honour for John.
There is an audio recording of the eulogy given by Mick Edge which we will try and post somewhere when technology allows, for those who were unable to come into the church and hear it in person.
Donations received are to be split between Ward 216 at Royal Derby and Cancer Research UK, the total currently stands at just over £800.
Thank you again x

Update for Bradbourne & Parwich Heating Oil Club
With the UK and a lot of European countries going into a second lockdown, coupled with the uncertainty surrounding the US Election as the vote counting continues, Brent Crude prices are staying low – hovering around the $39 a barrel mark. Delivery times are currently between 7 and 10 working days.

You can Protect a Tree in the Amazon Rainforest to help offset some of your emissions or Plant a Tree here in the UK to help our environment and reduce emissions in the future, or do both! If this is something you are interested in, please visit the ‘Carbon Offset’ section in our Club Store for more infomation.

Has anyone lost a large (metal) barrel in the verge just past Hillcrest on the way out of the village? It’s been there for about a week or more. It has a painted green and yellow band, ‘Howard …’ on the side and an orange sticker with ‘Sira …’ on the top. I wouldn’t be able to distinguish a beer barrel from one with gunpowder in it, but someone may recognise it from the description. Please don’t cause a stampede as it may well be empty. Saskia T

Hi Parwich neighbours! I’m after a big (and FREE!) piece of plywood or some sort of wood I could make a giant chalkboard sign with for a work project. As big as possible, although our clever volunteers could probably piece them together. We could meet at a mutually agreed outdoor space for a 2 metre distanced handover. I probably should have asked about this BEFORE bonfire night! 😊
Thanks, and stay safe!
