Friday football would like to thank Parwich Independent Welfare Fund for their kind donation and generosity to the Friday football.
Due to the impending weather we will have to cancel Friday football this week. I think it would be more like ice skating
Thanks
Jason

David G has had a beautiful Redwing visit his garden this morning. Thank you for sending in the photos David.
There are chances we may see more unusual visitors in our gardens with the bad weather.
Lucky David has also had a Goldcrest visiting his feeder today, poor things must be so cold out there tonight!

Having come back into the village just before 6 pm at -5, the roads are treacherous. Brackendale Lane and Bradbourne Hill are like an Olympic sport. There has been no gritting and getting into the village is hazardous.

Update for Bradbourne & Parwich Heating Oil Club
With the sustained cold weather and a forecast for the snow in some areas next week, suppliers are very busy and many are fully booked for the next few weeks. If you are low on oil and may run out this group order will not be suitable and I would recommend going direct to be on the safe side. Delivery times are subject to weather and supply conditions. Please do order early and allow plenty of time for delivery to avoid any problems.
If you like the rate, please do spread the word. By grouping our orders, we can also substantially reduce harmful diesel emissions, CO2 and damage and danger to our roads and villages.
We have secured a rate and our clubs group oil order terms for this weekend are as follows:
Rate: £0.4550 (pence per litre excluding vat [5% for Domestic use])

Parwich First Responders are continuing to recruit new members. Attached is some useful information about the role of a First Responder.
Who/What Are We?
Parwich First Responders have been providing emergency first aid cover to the village and surrounding areas for the past 12 years. First Responders are there to support life threatening conditions, including heart attack, asthma and loss of consciousness. They aim to maintain breathing and circulation until advanced life support is available.
We meet every 2 months in Parwich Memorial Hall to refresh our training in an informal and supportive atmosphere.
What Can You Do?
As a Responder you can offer as little or as much time as you like each week. Being on duty does not stop you getting on with normal activities providing you are around the village and in range of a phone.
Can Anyone Become a First Responder?
The training provided by East Midlands Ambulance Service (EMAS) is thorough and gives you confidence to attend to and deal with a medical emergency such as a heart attack or breathing difficulties. You acquire good First Aid skills for your role of a First Responder . These skills you will find can be useful in everyday life.
Once you have received your training you are not expected to go out to calls on your own unless you choose to. Some of the experienced First Responders still choose to ‘buddy up’ with another First Responders for a duty period.
No previous experience is required you just need to be 18 years old but there is no upper age limit.
Please ring Sue 334 or Martin 529 if you are interested in becoming a First Responder or would to come to one of the informal training sessions to find out a bit more about the role.
