Garden waste subscriptions open on 23 January
Subscribe from this coming Monday, 23 January, to our 2023/24 garden waste scheme – and your £50 subscription fee could be refunded!
Residents who subscribe before 3rd March will be entered into a draw, with 20 lucky subscribers refunded 1 x £50 subscription fee.
Please note: If you currently pay by direct debit, your subscription will automatically be renewed for 2023/24, at the charge of £50 per subscription.
The subscription rate was set at £50 when we launched the scheme in 2021, though early bird subscribers could claim a one-off discount price of £35. New subscribers paid £50 last year but we gave back £15 to existing subscribers in recognition of service problems during the previous year.
Your 2023/24 bin sticker will arrive before 1 April if you subscribe now.
See more information, including the prize draw terms & conditions .

Here’s something new and completely different, brought to Parwich Legion by The Inn Crowd and Teatro Vivo, with their playful show, The Regulars.
Set in a pub environment, this is an immersive show filled with strange tales, unexpected happenings, ridiculous characters and an all round fun night out.
Curious? Come along and find out what this is all about. The fun starts at 7.30 Friday 20th January – entry is free.

DON’T PANIC! If you have not yet had your scheduled bin collection this week, please leave your bin out.
Due to the high volumes of waste following the Christmas period, vehicles are filling up much more quickly than normal.
We will therefore be running a catch up service *this Saturday* to try to bring up to date any collections that have been missed or remain outstanding.

We have received the following request from Ellie and Ben if you are interested please email them at eburt91@gmail.com…
My boyfriend and I live in Pikehall and we have a lovely (lively!) cocker spaniel called Gozo. We would love to have a few local ‘dog friends’ that we could do some mutual dog sitting duties for when we go away or the occasional night here and there. I wondered if anyone would be interested in meeting for a dog walk, seeing if the dogs get on and potentially chatting about how we could help each other with occasional dog care in the future? This is also open to someone who doesn’t have a dog and perhaps would like the odd occasion to care for one but we like the idea of being able to return the favour! Please do let me know if you’re interested at eburt91@gmail.com. It is probably also worth saying that Gozo has his bits – he’s very friendly, not aggressive/dominant at all but may be a problem if you have an un-neutered female around!
Thank you! Ellie and Ben B

Thank you to the village for all the support and generosity during the Poppy Appeal last year.
A fantastic £1,950.69 was raised. The Sycamore, the school and the Legion were very proactive in seeking donations.
Many thanks must go to Karen Wigley and Liz Edge for co-ordinating the appeal on behalf of the village.
