We are updating the Parwich.org Diary page, so if you have any Alsop, Ballidon, Parwich or Pikehall events (March and April) that you want to go in the Diary in time to be included in the Peak Five Churches Magazine’s February issue, please send them in by next Saturday evening, Saturday 20th of February.
Including our Diary in the Church magazine is important as it helps you reach some of those who are not on-line.
Please send Diary information to parwich@hotmail.co.uk or ring me on tel. 287.
Oil rates continue to be very volatile this week and are up sharply for next week. Many suppliers are very busy and in some areas, we understand there have been shortages of stock so please check your oil levels and allow plenty of time for your delivery.
The rate and offer details for our clubs group orders for this weekend are as follows:
Rate: £0.2269 (pence per litre excluding vat [5% for Domestic use])
We have been expecting a parcel from Holland which has gone missing. The address was correct except the originator missed off our house name “Stubley”, the package was signed for by a P. YATES. We wondered if anyone in the Creamery Lane area may have taken it in for us. We have checked sheds etc.
Please call 450 if anyone remembers anything.
This Sunday’s (Sunday 14th Fenbruary 2016) Methodist Service in Parwich has been cancelled. Details of future Services can be seen on the Diary page here at Parwich.org or at the Ashbourne Circuit’s web page.
We think a well meaning person may be feeding our cat Dolly and welcoming her into their home, as she pops in occassionally, but isn’t a regular feature at Farm View House. Although this is very kind, we’d prefer if you didn’t as we rather like her and miss her (an awful lot).
Have you seen Dolly? She is a funny little thing. Very pretty, loving and can be quite nervous. We give her special medicine once a month which she needs.
Her and her stepbrother Bob had a bit of a spat, which may be why she ran away from home…but we think they can make up and be almost-friends.
The family of Peggy Lees would like to thank everyone for their very kind donations given at Peggys’ funeral. The total donated to Parwich First Responders was £635.
As some on you may know, White Peak butchers at Tissington has recently closed. However, Richard still has his shop at Matlock and is delivering to Parwich. If you order on (or before) Wednesday, they can deliver on Thursdays and Fridays.
The number to call is the same (as it diverts) – 01335 390300.
Now we realise that the long awaited opening of the bowls season is a little way off, (first week in April usually) but we will be having our AGM soon. You are most welcome to attend and hear and see what we get up to. We look forward to seeing you.

Despite the weather not being the best this weekend we achieved a grand total of 35 different species spotted around the villages. My hopeful target was 40 so that’s not a bad effort. Thanks Lynn and Peter for your spotting.
