Whilst you enjoy The Parwich British Legion Club, we take your continued good health and safety, extremely seriously.
Which is why we want to assure you that cleanliness and hygiene (which was and always will be key) is now receiving our utmost attention. You will notice our staff regularly wiping with disinfectant any surfaces that come into contact with staff and customers. And regular hand washing by staff and customers alike, continues to be the best public health advice.
But, if you have a cough or a cold yourself, as a consideration for others, please could we ask that you remain at home until you have recovered.

Parwich Royal British Legion Club
Christine Williams, our faithful church organist, is moving from Brassington to North Wales at the end of the month. Today in church we thanked her for 25 years of service, and gave her a cheque towards her purchase of a tenor saxophone. Christine has not only played the organ but also assembled and directed choirs for our special services. Happy moving!
We have had a message that there are sheep on the road to Fenny Bentley and Ashbourne, the B5056, so take care on the roads. We will update when we have more details.

Hi, we just wanted to offer our help to anyone who may need it at the moment.
Between us, we go to Ashbourne, Wirksworth or Bakewell every day and we would be happy to pick up anything needed such as shopping, prescriptions or anything else. We are happy to drop it off anywhere in the area. We can also call to Hartington for prescriptions if needed.

Sadly the musicians have had to cancel tonight, but we’ll still have Irish music, food and promotions on Guinness and Jamesons to enjoy. So come along for the craic!
The Parwich Carnival and Recreation Committee AGM is due to take place on Thursday 2nd April at 7.30pm in the Legion. Everyone is welcome and we would love to see some new faces. If you have any questions or suggestions please contact lucywigley@googlemail.com
Our new house is heated by propane. This is a new experience for us. Can anyone share any advice about the best/worst experience with suppliers, boiler maintenance engineers or anything else they think might be useful? We would also like to consider moving or burying the tank – we have looked at all the online information but first hand experience is always best.

Pump Hill was officially opened yesterday by the Chair of the Parish council Mick Edge who outlined the history of the site thanked everyone involved for their help.The garlands were cut by Maurice Foot and Robert Sheilds then everyone took advantage of a brief glimpse of the sun to have a look round and test drive the benches.
Hello Everyone,
As most of you already know Brian and I are about to move across the village out of Blanche Meadow Farm to Lower Monsdale House ( formerly Stubley) on Creamery Lane. We hope you will welcome Marie Rippingale and Francis Boyer to the home we have loved and cherished for nearly 40 years. They are looking forward to village life and I have really sold it to them as a lovely friendly village .
Meanwhile Brian and I are finally looking forward to retirement- a bit of bowls, drinking in the pub and Legion , no gardening, until the planning permission comes through and we start on the building work!
