A long shot: a fellow Carsington volunteer lost a bluehardbackcase with his glasses insidelast Sundaywhilst walking in the Parwich area along a circular walk: Parwich-Gotham-HP Trail-Ballidon-Parwich. A man has been arrested after a large amount of plant equipment was recovered during a warrant, along with suspected drugs and tobacco.
On Wednesday, October 7, the Rural Crime Team executed a warrant at a farm in Longcliffe. They found a large amount of high-value plant equipment, which officers believe to have been stolen.
They also discovered what they believe to be drugs and tobacco.
A 31-year-old man from Overseal was arrested in connection with the theft of plant equipment and possessing drugs. He has been released while investigations continue.
Inquiries are continuing to identify the rightful owners of the equipment.
We would like to say how much we appreciated the help from Mick Edge and Phil Kirkham last Sunday when they helped us with our our end of season maintenance day. Without their help we could not have undertaken some of the necessary work.

The good news this week is as the temperature drops so has the oil price, with Brent Crude falling below $58. However, please order early and allow plenty of time for delivery as suppliers are now getting very busy. Estimated delivery times are now 7 to 10 working days.
TIP: Please double check the level of oil in your tank before you place your order, so you can judge the correct quantity to order. If you have a gauge, it is sometimes worth doing a visual check inside your tank too every now and then, just incase the gauge is incorrect.
Some suppliers will charge extra if they can’t deliver the amount ordered, as they have to cover the costs involved with transporting this fuel back to the depot.
