First Responders Wanted

We have just had our AGM where we discussed recruitment. The number of active members remains small so being able to cover the rota is a huge problem. More volunteers could make such a difference.

If you are over 18years, no upper age limit,  and have an interest in becoming a volunteer and want to find out more why not come to the next training session.  There you can meet the existing First Responders, watch a training session and get a general idea of what is involved. You will be made very welcome.

Please contact Martin 529 or Sue 334 for more details on becoming involved.

Parwich Parish Council Budget 2019-20

At meetings in January and February the Parish Council will discuss its budget for the next financial year starting in April.

The Parish Council would be interested to hear any suggestions from residents about what they would (or would not) like the Parish Council to spend money on. Comments are welcome regarding spend on both regular items (e.g. mowing) and one off projects (e.g improving facilities).

Details of expenditure for the last full year (2017-18) can be seen here.

As part of the budgeting process the Council will also decide if there should be any change to the annual precept. (currently £0.80 pence per week for a Band D property).

Comments can be made to the Clerk ( clerk@parwichparishcouncil.org.uk ), or any Councillor, or members of the public can attend and speak at meetings.

You should be aware that there are some rules regarding what Parish Councils are allowed to spend money on. If suggestions are for something the Parish Council is not permitted to spend money on, this will be explained.

Mobile Library

Tree Down

10.23 am. There is a tree obstructing the road that leaves the village and goes up Parwich hill past the wind turbines on the left and then a farm on the right. It is possible to mount the grass bank if you have 4 wheel drive to get past, difficult to impossible if you don’t. It needs moving and I’m not sure who to contact? Matt N
